The Position

A member of the organisation’s Executive Team, reporting directly to the Executive Director, with three direct reports, the Senior Manager Business Development (SMBD) has core responsibility for identifying and securing new business opportunities across all business divisions. This is achieved through SMBD accountability for key stakeholder engagement, proactive research, successful tender submissions, supported by innovative marketing, fundraising and communications initiatives. The SMBD also has carriage of risk management for the organisation.

With a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and experience in a values-based social care environment, the successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in business development, bring a customer-centric approach and a focus on continuous improvement and innovation to drive new and enhanced customer-oriented social care service offerings and products to ensure continued market competitiveness. With excellent analytical skills, a sound knowledge of sector trends and emerging opportunities, expertise in state and federal government procurement, tendering and grant submissions, you will be an outstanding communicator and relationship builder.

Innovative fundraising experience will be highly regarded. This position will enable you to break new ground and deliver effective and efficient customer directed social services and products with relevance in the ever changing social services sector.
